A Guy With Some Marvel Cards

Atlantis Attacks was my first experience with what was then Marvel’s style of doing a big multi-part crossover through the Annuals. It was confusing. It was especially confusing because I lived in a tiny little town and my “comic shop” was the spinner rack at the Longs Drugstore one town over (how small WAS my town? Well, for example we said things like “one town over”). So keeping up with at multi-part mega crossover being threaded through 14 different titles (and not even the regular issues, but he annuals)? Not so much. 

So from my own experience of the issues that I actually read here’s what I can tell you: Iron Man fought some underwater guys or something and Namor was a dick about it. Also, serpents… or demons… or serpent demons.
